What you get
Forgot to clock out? A configurable nightly cron auto-closes orphan hr.attendance records at your cutoff time and emails HR a summary, so payroll hours stay sensible and nobody trusts bad data.
How it works
A common operational pain in shift-based businesses: an employee forgets to clock out, leaving the attendance record open. Next morning HR fixes it with a guessed time and payroll is wrong. This module runs a nightly cron, sets check_out to your configured cutoff (not the cron run time), marks auto_closed = True, posts a chatter note, and emails the manager a summary.
Key features
- Configurable cutoff — Set hour + minute in local time. Default 23:00 — keeps payroll hours sensible regardless of when the cron actually ran.
- Daily summary email — HTML email to the configured recipients listing every employee / date / duration that was auto-closed.
- Auto-closed flag — New filter on the Attendances list view so HR can audit which records were touched by the cron.
- Disable without uninstall — "Enabled" toggle in Settings turns the cron off without disabling the cron job in Odoo.
